Gift a Friend Travel
We all have friends who need to just get away from the hassles of life. We often forget about ourselves, and always are looking to help others. If you are a good friend, it is most likely you have a friend that thinks about your well being often. How can I make life better for my friends…does this resonate with you? Read the list and be inspired…
5 Awesome Reasons to Gift a Friend Travel
1) It’s their Birthday, imagine celebrating their 20, 30, 40, or 100 year of their awesome life while seeing the world for good.
2) Because it is totally unexpected, don’t give a gift card, gift a travel experience.
3) Your friend just went through a breakup or divorce…best time to take off and escape….join the Happily Divorce Travel destinations, to travel with like-minded people.
4) Your friend is the ultimate entrepreneur, parent, and social activist; and needs time to rejuvenate… no worries, no responsibilities.
5) You want to spend some quality time together, your friendship is in need of an adventure…gift the unexpected trip to the place you both dare to live fully.
I am very fortunate to have a best friend since high school, in 1996 we backed all over Europe eating bread and cheese. Ten years later, I invited and gifted my best friend a European adventure; this time we stayed at the best hotels, ate fine food, climbed Pisa and even went to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Perhaps a friend of yours is thinking of gifting you travel, take the initiative and do it first…you be glad you did.

Celebrate Your Life Through Travel
Special thanks to Brooke Self for reminding me that asking the right questions leads us to better understanding, more meaningful connections, and inspiration.
Did You Know “A robust 68 percent of job seekers who are millennials said an option to work remotely would greatly increase their interest in specific employers, according to a survey by AfterCollege, a career network for college students and recent grads. “Policies that cultivate a flexible, fun, and casual work environment have a positive impact” on young people’s interest in specific employers, the survey found.”
The Ultimate Work Life Travel Experience….Inspired by Brooke Self
Your life is a celebration…take every opportunity to live it fully…
Imagine, if you could work remotely for your current employer, while traveling and seeing the world. There are a number of companies that provide 3 month to 1 year programs. What I Love About These Professional Travel Programs?
You have to apply and qualify, they do extensive background checks. And all of them are up front about needing to be employed while traveling abroad.
How to Prepare the Boss So You Can Work Remotely?
- Have you proved to be a valuable employee? If you are consistently showing up for work, and exceeding your boss’s expectations you will have a better chance of convincing your boss.
- Your boss is not your parent. Don’t take it personal if your boss does not take you seriously, if he/she says no. You have choices;
a) Write a game plan, about how you are planning to fulfill your current responsibilities, meetings, and requirements. Most people have not traveled abroad…educating your boss on the availability to mobile phones, SKYPE, and WiFi is imperative.
b) You can commit to creating weekly logs, and reports that support your productivity. Also logging into the company’s server so your boss knows that you are working.
c) Prepare your boss for this conversation well in advance, talk to them 6 months to 1 year prior to taking off. While you work toward your departure, you have an opportunity to show your boss, you are an indispensable employee.
If the boss is unwilling to see it your way look for another job, weigh your life choices, no job will ever define the meaning of your life. But travel is by far the best investment yourself.
