Today I am Grateful for Our Moms Love
Not everyday do I get a chance to thank the moms who have made me a better man, but this is the day. I am grateful that I have had some of the most fulfilling and purposeful relationships with moms.
Moms I am Grateful For…
- My mom who taught me to be a Mensch. And my sisters who I admire, respect, and adore because I always can count on both of them…and they are amazing role models to their kids.
- Since college, I pretty much had girlfriends who were awesome working moms…they were amazing partners in life; and even when they gave me the ‘Nudge…Talk…can you do this or that, can you change this or that;’ they made be a better man.
- Our Moms Work, I created in 2017, to support moms who were looking to return to work, find strategies to improve their lives, and love life.
- Mom, Susan Loughmiller, my community manager for Our Moms Work…always took care of the details; and we had fun hosting parties (my favorite our moms party Belgian Chocolates and Melting Chair Massages).
- Moms Davina Fernholtz and Jen Katz, community managers for Recruiting for Good…thank you for your hard work.
- All the moms, whose kids have participated in my fun creative writing contests (my favorite last year was, ‘If you could change someone’s life, who would it be? Thanksgiving 2019).
- Lastly, I am grateful for all the moms whose kids are participating in our fun social project Kids Get Paid to Eat.
What I learned most from moms is how to be a compassionate and patient listener…thank you…your love inspired me to create The Goodie Foodie Club Passion + Purpose + Play

“Kids earned their membership status at The Goodie Foodie Club, by doing amazing work, in a timely manner. In the last 10 days, we have surpassed a milestone, finished 27 reviews (over 25% completed). The awesome team of kids is from the Valley and the Westside; and was selected to finish the fun purpose driven project. The Goodie Foodie Club
Our kids get the funnest weekend gigs to write reviews of restaurants they love. Food is sponsored (by Recruiting for Good) and delivered home.
1. All content is developed by kids.
2. Kids who do a great job, earn more writing gigs.
3. Kids learn leadership skills, positive values, and work habits.
Robin, mom whose kids are participating in ‘Kids Get Paid to Eat‘ adds, “What I love most about my kids having this opportunity to write food reviews is that it allows me to teach them, in bite-size pieces, one skill at a time, how to improve their writing. Especially now that our schools can no longer provide direct instruction to our children, this is a tremendously helpful and needed experience, not to mention a tasty one! It does indeed give a purpose to a passion in a playful kind of way.”

“Everyone should try VeStation’s Massaman Curry because its savory and creamy with hints of coconut and bursts of flavors from various spices. There is a mellow kick of spiciness but nothing too overpowering and the veggies are cooked to a perfect tenderness. The brown rice served with this meal is great and unique.”

“I loved the Thai basil chicken an the Thai iced tea with boba. The chicken was great mixed with rice and the green beans which had a nice crunch. The thai iced tea was super good too, because it wasn’t to sweet like most iced teas.”
