Donuts Good for You in LA Reviewed By Kids

Donuts Good for You in LA Reviewed By Kids

Every month, we hire a team of kids to complete a purpose driven foodie project (Kids Get Paid to Eat); to inform and inspire the community about LA’s Best Food…Good for You! Kids learn to love work, get paid to eat (funnest paid gig for kids to write reviews), and have fun.

We do our best to make the gigs fun learning experiences, and rewarding too. Kids who do a good job…will be hired again. Kids who don’t do a good job (poor effort); no future gigs and no foodie goodies (rewards).

We’re grateful to re-hire some of our rockstars kids that participated and successfully completed Fun Foodie Project in May 2020 (Top 100 Dishes Reviewed By Kids).

This past weekend, our awesome team of kids completed Donuts Good for You project included; Aubrey (Sushi Queen, 8th Grade), Brayden (Picky Bray, 6th Grade), Olivia (Cool Name Coming Soon, 8th Grade), and Radley (‘The Gluten Free Prince,’ 6th Grade). They reviewed donuts from Erin McKenna’s Bakery, Fonuts, Karma Baker, and Ring Donuts.

Aubrey (Sushi Queen) and Brayden (Picky Bray) reviewed Fonuts menu, click here to see list.

Olivia (Cool Name Coming Soon) reviewed donuts from Erin McKenna’s Bakery, click here to see list.

Radley (The Gluten Free Prince) reviewed Karma Baker Donuts (click here to see the list), and Ring Donuts (click here to see the list).

To qualify for one of our monthly projects, kids attend Middle School in LA and participate in one of our weekly or monthly creative writing contests (we hire talented kids, who love to work, and have fun) Want to know more? www.KidsGetPaidtoEat.com

Every month, Recruiting for Good hires a team of kids for fun paid gigs; teach kids to love work, earn their keep, and write reviews of LA Best Food for You to inform and inspire the community (passion, purpose, and play).

Kids take pictures, taste food, and write reviews (Kids Get Paid to Eat). It’s their unfiltered reviews (kids in Middle School).

Olivia in 8th grade reviewed every donut flavor:

We’re Sorry…

Unfortunately, when we picked up the donuts from Erin McKenna’s Bakery. The donut flavors were not written on the box. The website doesn’t have pictures that correlate to the names of the donuts. So we will do our best to display reviews and pictures. And naming them whatever seems feasible.

All the other bakeries reviewed this weekend, made it easy for the kids to follow (Fonuts, Karma Baker, and Ring).

Berry Donut

This donut tasted like a berry cereal. Even though it’s vegan, it has a wonderful taste of butter and sweetness like berries picked in a forest near your cozy cotton home.

Blue Donut

This obscure blue treat tastes like raspberries and lemonade with a hint of sweet maple. Where did the blue come from? Perhaps some decadent blueberries.

Coconut Donut

Missing your tropical vacations this year in COVID? Don’t worry- this donut is decorated in caramel, coconut, and chocolate to give you the sweet taste of an island by the sea.

Coffee Crunch

This espresso-like donut is perfect if you love your early morning coffee with a little extra sweetness! Its crumble and chocolate drizzle makes it taste exactly like a mocha and is ideal for an energizing treat.

Chocolate Donut

This classic chocolate donut is identical to a soft and moist chocolate cake. With more dark chocolate than milk chocolate, the frosting is bold and perfect for chocolate lovers!

Cinnamon Bun Donut

Mmmm… cinnamon rolls! This sweet donut is topped with cinnamon and sugar. Maybe it reminds you of your dear grandma’s baking, or a sweet cinnamon churro in the fall!

Crepe Donut

This donut may remind you of a warm, European blueberry crepe. Maybe blueberry pancakes with maple syrup top! Whatever you reminisce of this donut, it’s soft touch of home and sweet blueberries will take you there.

Maple Glaze Donut

Love a classy maple glaze to remind you of a brisk day in Canadian forests? Devouring this sweet and crisp donut will take you back to your favorite memories with a glaze of real maple syrup.

Vanilla Donut

This sweet and simple donut has an immense flavor of buttery vanilla. No, it’s not plain at all- the thick frosting is perfect with coffee and perfect for a vanilla bean fan.
