How Travel Prepares Kids for Tomorrow’s Jobs
Educational institutions do their best to educate kids. Travel gift kids learning experiences that transform their life by inspiring their creativity and imagination.
According to Seth Godin, an authority on marketing for the best companies in the world; “One sure way to stay employed in the future is to become indispensable. People develop skills that continue to evolve and bring value to companies.”
Another authority on future employment, Daniel H. Pink, wrote a book called A Whole New Mind, “Right brain thinkers will lead the new economy; by being creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs. These people’s work will never be able to duplicated by a machine or done cheaper overseas.”
“Creative power can’t be given because the act of creation is an expression of yourself, a revelation of who you are inside. No one, not even God, can give this to you—it must come from you. You have to develop creative powers through your own efforts.” (The Tools By Phil Stutz and Barry Michels).
3 Ways Travel Prepares Kids for Tomorrow’s Jobs
1) Travel creates experiential and transformational moments that empower kids to explore the world, and learn about themselves; find their individual voice.
2) Travel creates opportunities to socialize with others, make new friends, and understand how others live (develop emotional intelligence/empathy/connectedness).
3) Travel inspires creative learning by seeing what humanity at its best has achieved and what new can be learned; go to the Louvre, Windsor Castle, Sagrada Familia Church, Entrepreneurship (Stanford or Yale), intern and learn Chinese in China, attend The Fringe, or go to the World’s Fair. Kid’s creativity and imagination is sparked by a continuous amount of life (travel) experiences that feed the heart, mind, and soul “a humanities education for the 21st century.”
Regardless of the destination, travel gives kids opportunities to figure out their sense of self in the world. They start to wonder about how they can contribute, and change the world; inspiring imagination and purpose driven creative human beings. Together we prepare kids for tomorrows’ jobs today by investing in travel for good.
